TV series: 50 Kitchens, one City - Georgia

A cross media film production about Berlin based restaurants

TV and web series with the Georgian restaurant Schwiliko

A small country with great variety - also in terms of eating. Georgia has been a real discovery for us during the production of 50 kitchens, one city. Did you know, for example, that the Georgian saffron is not really saffron, as we know it here in Germany, but from the Tagetes, the student's flower? Tagetes is called saffron in Georgia, because already the ancient Romans have used the dried leaves of the student's flowers, in order to falsify the real, very precious saffron. This so-called "saffron" has been used in Georgia for centuries for the preparation of national dishes - including the Badrijani, which we prepared in the Georgian restaurant Schwiliko.

TV series: 50 Kitchens, one City - India

A cross media film production about Berlin based restaurants

TV and web series with the Indian restaurant Chutnify

„When you arrive in India and the plane doors open you smell India", Aparna Aurora tells us during our shooting for "50 kitchens, one city“. "It can not be described, but one has to experience it," she continues. And we see in her eyes what she means. As for traditional, Indian cuisine, we have finally realized in her restaurant Chutnify. Because, contrary to all menus in Indian restaurants in Germany, milk, cream or other dairy products are not used in India. They do not exist in Indian cuisine. Honestly, we did not miss them!

TV series: 50 Kitchens, one city - Peru

A cross media film production about Berlin based restaurants

TV and web series with the Peruvian restaurant Serrano

Passion, emotion and hard work. These are the three attributes that Enrique Serván brings to Germany from his home country Peru. His parents educated him and his seven siblings very strictly. Discipline played an important role. „Without this discipline, I would never have survived in Germany," Enrique tells us during our shooting. Then he smiled and added, "I am probably one of the few Peruvians who is always in time.“ With much discipline he also runs his restaurant Serrano - a key to his success. If you try his „Ceviche" and the other Peruvian delicacies, you immediately recognize the one decisive.

A cross media film production about Berlin based restaurants

TV and web series with the Bulgarian restaurant PriMaria

Asked what Maria Duness-Rose misses most from her homeland Bulgaria, then these are the mountains. As a child she spent a lot of time with her parents in nature and loved it. Everything else she could miss she brought to Berlin: good food and good Bulgarian wine. She offers all these delicacies in her restaurant PriMaria. The Bulgarian tradition of coming together eating and drinking is very special and has it all. As Maria's grandfather said: Long and extensive eating and drinking means a long life! Sounds good!

TV series - 50 Kitchens, One City: Brazil

A cross media film production about Berlin based restaurants

TV and web series with the Brazilian restaurant Atelier Culinário

Sabine Hueck has a very special gift: she brings people together. People of all nationalities and generations. Her Atelier Culinário is an extraordinary place where you can enjoy Brazilian cuisine (every dish is delicious), where you can have engaging conversations and get to know interesting people. At the end of the day, you will leave this place more than happy. "For me, it's not just about food. It's about everything. For example, how to welcome people, how to cover the table, all these small details. It's social, as in a living room, like a big family“, says Sabine Hueck. And when you are with her, you feel exactly what she means.
