TV series: 50 Kitchens, one City - Norway

A cross media film production about Berlin based restaurants

TV and web series with the Norwegian restaurant Munch's Hus

Kenneth Gjerrud lives for good food. Even as a child, he has a great desire: to run his own restaurant in the future. The future is now! In Berlin Schöneberg, the Norwegian operates the only Norwegian restaurant in Germany, the Munch’s Hus. And of course he prepares for us the traditional moose roast, because after all, the moose is something like the mascot of Norway. Kenneth Gjerrud now lives longer in Berlin than in his home country Norway. He feels good, but: "I miss nature very much, the peace and the friendliness of the people," he tells us during our shooting for the series 50 kitchens, one city. Honestly? We can not blame him.

TV series: 50 Kitchens, one City - Hungary

A cross media film production about Berlin based restaurants

TV and web series with the Hungary restaurant Lola was here

"Lola was here" the restaurant of Evelyn and Julia Csabai, is for them the quintessence of all her passions: good food, good company and good stories. The sisters, born and raised in Hungary, came to Berlin in 1989 and worked in various professions until they opened their restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg in 2014. "Our goulash is the best in town," they tell us proudly. The secret: lots of onions and Hungarian peppers. "And of course you should know how it tastes when you prepare it," they add. The two know that! And the goulash is without question quite excellent.

TV series: 50 Kitchens, one City - Greece

A cross media film production about Berlin based restaurants

TV and web series with the Greek restaurant Taverna Ousia

„My parents moved to a foreign country and I was born here, but they did not want my brother and me to forget where we came from. That's why they taught us the Greek culture - the language, the food," Athanasios Gortsas tells us when we meet him for the series „50 Kitchens, one city” at the Taverna Ousia. The ancient Greek tradition plays an important role in the restaurant, which is specialized on Mezedes, small dishes that have a great advantage: you can try something of everything. Typical Greek is also the lamb shoulder in red wine sauce, which we have prepared together. One eats it with fresh vegetables.

TV series: 50 Kitchens, one City - Denmark

A cross media film production about Berlin based restaurants

TV and web series with the Danish restaurant East & Eden

Ulla Skaaning Mathiesen wanted to live in another city again. So she packed her seven things and moved with her family from Copenhagen to Berlin.„Going to a new place and doing things in a new way makes me feel more alive. By forcing yourself into new places and experiences I think you just get more out of life. I really like that, "says the Dane in our interview for 50 kitchens, one city. It's not surprising that she has another dream come true in Berlin: the architect and interior designer opens her own café, the "East & Eden". Here she offers small delicacies that are sometimes inspired by Denmark, her home country. Like the oatmeal liquorice biscuits that we bake together with Ulla. Delicious.

TV Series: 50 Kitchens, one City - Austria

A cross media film production about Berlin based restaurants

Johanna Nussbaumer is the born host. Anyone could fell her welcoming nature immediately, when he or she enters the restaurant „Nussbaumerin" very close to the famous Kurfürstendamm in Charlottenburg. „In Berlin, you are unique or you can be unique with what you do. In Salzburg you are one of many, and that was my motivation here to establish my Austrian restaurant and to say I am here, and I embody Austria for you in Berlin, "reveals Johanna, who was born in Salzburg during the shooting for 50 kitchens, one city.

From her home country Johanna brought the Salzburger Bierfleisch, which we prepare together according to an old recipe from her grandmother. An absolute taste experience.
