The Sony FX30 is a compact 4K camcorder in the form of a DSLR with E-mount lens connection. It has a 20.1 megapixel APS-C Exmor R sensor with a dual base ISO of 800 and 2,500 and a sensitivity range of ISO100 – 32,000. We like to use this camera as a secondary camera when shooting and producing interviews.
The Sony FX30 features the popular and always requested S-Cinetone colour profile. This colour profile offers a natural and cinematic colour reproduction that is particularly popular in the production of motion pictures and high-quality videos.
The FX30 uses Sony's E-mount lens system, which allows for a wide range of high-quality lenses. We also have a wide range of E-mount lenses from Sony and Sigma. All our prime and zoom lenses are available for hire.
The FX30 offers a host of features specifically designed for professional video production. These include high-quality internal recording options, Dual-Base ISO to improve recording quality in different lighting conditions, MI-Shoe Multi Interface to use Sony wireless links without additional cables, time-lapse and slow-motion recording, proxy recording and two media slots for SD or CFexpress cards (Type A).
Internal 4:2:2 recording with 10-bit colour sampling and S-Log3 or S-Cinetone. Via HDMI and an external Atomos Ninja V recorder - which you can also rent from us - 16-bit RAW recordings can also be output.
