At Basiliscus Film, we work exclusively with professional camera equipment – and we rent it out too. When you hire our gear, you don't get what was considered modern at some point in the past. You get exactly what we shoot with ourselves every single day.

4K, UHD, HD – what do you actually need?

Our camcorders shoot in Ultra HD (3840 × 2160 pixels) – four times the resolution of standard HD. That means greater sharpness, more room to manoeuvre in post-production and, above all, more flexibility: a single shoot can deliver formats for cinema, TV, web and social media – including vertical 9:16 clips for Instagram, TikTok and beyond.

For cinema productions or specific requirements, we also work with true 4K (4096 × 2160 pixels, 17:9 aspect ratio) – the format with the more pronounced widescreen effect that has its roots in cinema.

For professional TV and day-to-day production work, Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) has proven itself as a reliable delivery format with our clients – dependable, compatible and fast to turn around.
