Corporate video for K3 / PZ Systems – pebblestone|fashion industry-specific software solution at Outfittery Berlin
Making an Industry Solution Visible – Corporate Film for Software and Fashion
How do you make a film about ERP software that still sparks enthusiasm for fashion? That was the central creative question behind this film project. PZ Systeme from Landshut and their partner K3 Software Solutions had equipped Outfittery – at the time one of Berlin's fastest-growing fashion start-ups – with their industry solution pebblestone|fashion. This was to be showcased in a corporate film: convincing, easy to understand, and with the charm of a company that dresses 400,000 men across eight countries.
Our approach was deliberately not a classic explainer video. We developed the dramaturgy along Outfittery's customer journey: from the first customer contact through style consultations over the phone, assembling outfits in the showroom, packing the parcels, all the way to doorstep delivery – and the satisfied customer trying on his new collection at leisure. The software is not the star of the film, but rather the invisible backbone that makes everything possible.
Two Protagonists, Three Cameras, One Story
The film's dramaturgy is carried by Michael Anspach, COO of Outfittery, as the main protagonist. His interviews guide viewers through all the key messages – from the company's history and growth figures to the concrete decision in favour of pebblestone|fashion. Christian Pöhner from PZ Systeme complements him as a second protagonist, providing the technical perspective: what does the software do behind the scenes to enable 150 stylists to coordinate hundreds of parcels every day?
Filming took place with three cameras – Sony FS7, Sony F3, and Nikon D800 – across multiple locations within the Outfittery office in Berlin: in the large open-plan office with up to 300 employees, in the showroom during outfit styling, in the consultation area, and while packing the distinctive Outfittery parcels. For the atmospheric outdoor scenes – a male model walking through Berlin impeccably dressed – we also shot on location outside.
Bilingual Production for International Use
What made this project special: the film was conceived from the outset for two language versions. All graphic elements, lower thirds, and subtitles were created and integrated in both German and English – for use in international sales presentations by K3, who are active in the fashion industry worldwide. Post-production, colour grading, and graphic animations were completed at our AVID Symphony editing suite in Berlin.
