For filmmakers, the Berlinale is every time the start of an exciting new film year. So also, for us. All the more, we were happy to produce a trailer for the production company Pandora Film about the premiere of their Berlinale entry »Someday we'll tell each other everything«. For this, our videographer accompanied the entire film team around director Emily Atef, who adapted the novel of the same name by Daniela Krien into a screenplay together with the author. An amour fou between 19-year-old Maria, played by Marlene Burow, and a much older man, at the turn of 1990 in Thuringia.

For one day, we were up close and personal. The Berlinale was the first reunion of the film crew after filming. They were eating together, attended the press conference, the red carpet defilee, the premiere and the champagne reception afterwards. We were able to experience first-hand the excitement and joy of the day for everyone involved. These situations are exactly what we look for in trailer images. Because a trailer is an entertaining mood picture. It should be fun, convey atmosphere, provide concise information. In addition, the videographer must not only film beautiful, atmospheric scenes, but also pay attention to diversity in the image composition. After all, the trailer is to be published in different image formats for various social media channels. A square 1:1 format has different requirements than the classic 16:9 film format or the typical Instagram format 9:16 for a reel.
For this, we film the film team in many different places, capture cheerful and celebratory situations and feel at every moment how good everyone's mood is. Of course, when you can finally present the product of months of work together, it's a very special moment – we know that one, too. An eventful, colourful day, a friendly film crew, new faces and lots of great moments.
»Someday We'll Tell Each Other Everything« will be released in German cinemas from April 2023.
