When 30 Seconds Have to Say Everything – Without a Single Word

In 2022, we had already produced an elaborate, three-and-a-half-minute corporate film for the Standing Conference of Nazi Memorial Sites in the Berlin Area. But for that film to reach its audience, it needed a trailer – precise, impactful and tailored to the institution's social media channels.

The creative decision was straightforward: no commentary, no captions, no explanatory words. Just images – and a graphic animation that builds gradually across the full 30 seconds. Slowly, deliberately, with intent. Because anyone who clicks away too soon misses the reveal: only at the very end does the typography resolve into readable text – and that text simultaneously becomes the web address of the full-length film.

Curiosity as Dramaturgy

A trailer that doesn't overwhelm its audience with information, but holds them. The viewer isn't meant to be informed – they're meant to stay curious. That is the subtle difference between content and impact. Filming took place at five Nazi memorial sites across the Berlin area, including aerial drone footage. Post-production – colour grading, animations in After Effects, music selection – was completed entirely in our Berlin studio.
