The designers of the Floppy Table
We met Marian Neulant and Axel van Exel in Berlin for a TV portrait of the artist duo Neulant van Exel. The two of them had a very cool idea. They are resurrecting the good old floppy disk in the form of a coffee table. And of course it's called the Floppy Table.
The design piece has been pretty well received. Within a very short space of time, Neulant van Exel's design ended up on various blogs around the world and everyone wants it, this retro-look table. This presents the two designers with new challenges. Until now, they have only designed unique pieces or temporary room furnishings. However, the Floppy Table is so popular that they are now starting series production for the first time.
The solid table is made from 2 mm thick sheet steel in Berlin and weighs an impressive 30 kilos! We were thrilled with all the dimensions.
